I was fine with the installation process, but the training is taking FOREVER!! and it's not using my GPU Idk why...

Thank you for this guide! So far I've trained 3 voice models, using it. The first 2 took 2-3 hours, but I've got a fairly slow system. The third one has all the exact same settings as the first 2, but a HEAVY British accent, and a 30-minute audio sample. 11 hours later, it's only on the 21st epoch, and almost 1800 steps. Should I go ahead and stop it? Why in the world is it taking so much longer than the others, does the size of the audio sample make that much of a difference?

Bob, It is hard to believe that this is possible. However, I have been using UDIO for a couple of months and ChatGPT for many months, and I understand how jaw-dropping this technology is. I do older-style tunes, focusing on narrative, lyrics, melody, and harmony, in the singer-songwriter vein. I can get UDIO to take my lyrics and then it adds the rest (with the ability to select output, but very little control it seems), but I would really like to have a way of using my own melody/phrasing and harmony as well as my lyrics, but with a better voice than mine. I don't use a DAW with any skill at all, but have worked with notation a lot. My singing is mediocre at best, and I only play guitar with cowboy chords while singing. I have used tools like Jjazzlab and Band in a Box to get electronic accompaniment. Cheezy but this gives me an idea of how my song might sound. I would like to take my voice and my singing and turn them into a better voice and better accompaniment. I have used Solaria for a couple of my tunes - a lot of work doing it that way. I would also like to have my songs as notation - even more work, and transcription is not my forte. A friend who is a better musician and more adept helped tweak my output in with the Solaria voice in one case and greatly improved the result. However, with that class of voice synthesis tools, you need to work with a DAW (a simple one is available). You can feed in notation as music XML, but first, you have to have the music XML. MIDI works too. I am trying to understand how I can use these newer AI tools to get my songs, my lyrics, my harmony, and my melody, but a superior voice as output, as audio and as notation. I do not quite understand yet how this could be accomplished with the AI tools. In the past, I found audio-to-MIDI deficient and gave up on that for making notation for my music. Maybe it is better now. Any suggestions for new approaches? I know people are using DAW over notation more and more often. I have failed to understand Ableton for instance, and have only worked with simpler DAWS at a rudimentary level. I guess it is tools and workflow I am talking about. Still in a state of confusion over the possibilities.

many years ago (20+) i losst my passion for music what suno has done is made that too long ago fire get lit again. so now its back to suck so much info on mastering\editing\ daw and what not to make my own stuff , why i never heard of band in a box before is behond me but never the less great stuff def gponna dive into that soon , thren i can fiddle with alot of the ideas from suno with proper instrumentas rather then the gawd danm noisy instruments that suno unfortunaly very often gives back. So i thank you for telling me on this gem. def will check out much love :) <3
